citizenships.legal — Terms & Conditions Operated by Barton Enterprise F.Z.E., Ajman Free Zone, UAE 1. Agreement. By using citizenships.legal and starting an application, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, together with our Engagement Letter, Client Undertaking, and Privacy Policy. 2. Our service. citizenships.legal, operated by Barton Enterprise F.Z.E. ("we", "us"), manages your residency or citizenship application and engages and manages the licensed partner lawyers and other specialists who perform the professional work on your case. We are engaged by you to deliver and manage this service. Immigration and citizenship decisions are made solely by the relevant government authorities; we do not decide or guarantee any outcome. 3. Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract. 4. Your account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account, and for providing accurate account information. 5. Your information. You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of all information and documents you provide. You must not provide false, forged, or misleading information or documents. Any additional work required as a result of inaccurate or incomplete information you provide may incur additional fees, shown to you before they are charged. 6. Fees and payment. (a) A monthly platform fee of US$99 applies from sign-up until your visa/residency is approved; thereafter a monthly maintenance fee of US$49 applies until you cancel. We may set and adjust these fees (including differences by program); the fees applicable to you are shown to you. (b) Per-milestone fees apply and must be paid before the relevant step begins. Each milestone fee is shown to you as a single final price (which includes our margin, a processing charge, and applicable tax). (c) A success fee of US$699 is payable when your residency/visa is approved, and is shown to you in advance. (d) Government fees and third-party costs are shown to you as they arise and are payable by you. (e) Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. Prices are in US dollars unless stated otherwise; applicable taxes may be added. 7. Refunds. (a) Monthly platform fees (US$99 and US$49) are non-refundable. (b) A milestone fee is refundable if you request a refund before a partner lawyer has been assigned to that work (assignment typically occurs within 24 hours of the milestone being paid). Where such a refund is due, we will deduct a processing charge of 3% and a platform fee of 5%, and refund the balance to the original payment card. (c) Once a partner lawyer has been assigned, milestone fees are non-refundable, except that we may, at our sole and absolute discretion, offer a partial refund reflecting work not yet performed. Any such refund is a goodwill gesture and not an admission of any obligation. (d) Government fees and third-party costs already incurred are non-refundable. (e) We may, at our discretion, waive or reduce any fee. 8. Subscription and cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. After that, you and your assigned lawyer lose access to the case, and the case is marked cancelled. You may download documents already available to you before access ends. No refunds are given for the unused portion of a paid period. 9. Working through the platform; dealing directly with lawyers. Our service, and our responsibility for your case, depend on all work, communication, and payment taking place through the platform, where we manage the professionals working on your case. If you engage or deal with a partner lawyer directly, outside the platform, you do so at your own risk: we accept no responsibility for your case, its handling, its accuracy, or its outcome in respect of any work conducted outside the platform. You agree that, for a period of 48 months from the date you join the platform, you will not seek to bypass the platform to engage, directly or indirectly, a partner introduced to you through it in a way that circumvents our service; and you accept full responsibility for any consequences of doing so. We may waive this in special circumstances at our discretion. 10. Non-disparagement. You agree not to make or publish false, malicious, or defamatory statements about citizenships.legal, Barton Enterprise F.Z.E., or our partners. This does not restrict you from sharing honest, good-faith feedback about your genuine experience. 11. Partner lawyers. Partner lawyers are licensed professionals engaged and managed by us to perform work on your case. While we select and manage our partners with care, professional legal work is performed by them under their own professional obligations. 12. No guarantee of outcome. Residency and citizenship decisions are made solely by government authorities. We make no guarantee that any application will succeed, or as to any timeline. 13. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of Barton Enterprise F.Z.E. arising from your use of the service is limited to the platform fees you have paid to us. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for the decisions of government authorities, or for matters outside our management (including anything arising from you dealing with a lawyer outside the platform). 14. Communications monitoring. We may review communications on the platform for quality, compliance, and dispute-resolution purposes. 15. Acceptable use. You must not misuse the platform or use it for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose. 16. Data protection. We handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law (UAE PDPL and, where relevant, GDPR), including your right to request deletion of your personal data. 17. Changes. We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified; continued use constitutes acceptance. 18. Governing law and disputes. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applicable to Ajman Free Zone entities, and are subject to the applicable UAE jurisdiction.
