We handle your personal data in accordance with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and, where it applies to you, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 3. What we collect. Identity and contact details; the information and documents you provide for your application (which may include sensitive documents such as passports, financial records, and background information); payment information (processed by our payment provider); and usage information from your use of the platform. 4. Why we use it and our legal basis. To provide and manage your case; to engage and coordinate partner lawyers on your behalf; to process payments; to communicate with you; to meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations; and to improve our service. Our legal bases include the performance of our contract with you, your consent (where required), our legitimate interests, and compliance with legal obligations. 5. Who we share it with. Your assigned partner lawyer and any specialist engaged to work on your case; our payment provider; service providers who help us operate the platform (such as hosting and communications), under confidentiality obligations; and government authorities or regulators where legally required. We do not sell your personal data. 6. International transfers. Because your case may involve professionals and authorities in other countries, your data may be transferred internationally. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place for such transfers. 7. Security. We store documents privately with access controls, so they are accessible only to you, your assigned professional, and our authorised team, and we apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. 8. Your rights. Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to data portability. To exercise any right, contact privacy@citizenships.legal. 9. Data deletion / erasure. You may request deletion of your personal data. On a valid request, we will delete or anonymise your personal data, except where we are legally required to retain certain records — in particular financial and transaction records (for tax and accounting) and signed agreements (for legal purposes) — which we retain in the minimum form necessary for the legally-required period and then securely delete. We will confirm to you what has been deleted and what must be retained and why. 10. Retention. We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised. 11. Complaints. If you have a concern about how we handle your data, contact us at privacy@citizenships.legal. You may also have the right to complain to the relevant data-protection authority. 12. Changes. We may update this policy; material changes will be notified. Contact: privacy@citizenships.legal — Barton Enterprise F.Z.E., Ajman Free Zone, UAE. Analytics cookies.
